This is a follow up from my last post I did for Adrienne using the fabulous Echo Park Photo Freedom for my Project Life. On my last post I mixed it up a bit and incorporated a 12 x 12 layout that was relevant to that week, great fun to step outside the square on that one for me. So then there's the conundrum, what to do with the flip side of that 12x12 page protector for the next week? And this was the perfect solution! My Silhouette cuts Project Life layout dies, couldn't be better! So I chose a layout that suited my photos, co-ordinated my card stock with the Photo Freedom papers, and ta-da! Problem solved.
I followed through with the cardstock to the opposite side to tie it all together, a fun week to complete.
Hello Ladies..... Adrienne has asked me to create some layouts using the lovely Yes Please range from Amy Tangerine, lots of gorgeous embellishments in this range....and such lovely colour combo's.
The colours in this range just made me think of SUMMER, so I have used some summery photo's on my layouts.
On this layout I wanted to concentrate of using the different embellishments to create my page.
The little Vellum Pockets are so cute, I originally wanted to put some sequence inside but it just didn't work with the page, but I think if you are doing Project Life, that would work perfectly. Each package contains four 4x6 inch vellum pockets which come with different patterns on them.
The next favourite embellishment was the Vellum Shapes... ohhh they are just gorgeous and fitted in perfectly with my circle theme.
I have mixed it up a little with some of the Dimensional Stickers, and Badges, and of course you can't go wrong without adding some Enamel Dots and a splash of mist.
Remember those Alpha's from Prima, I think I bought just about every single colour, and haven't used them much, but the bright pink just suited this layout perfectly.
I hope I have given you some inspiration to use lots of embellishments on your pages.... I'll be back next week with some more inspiration using the same range.
There are so many amazing products that are ideal for Project Life, old and new. Lately I rediscovered Echo Park's Photo Freedom range, Volume 1. With the wonderful bright colours, it complemented quite a few of my Becky Higgins cards, bonus!
I really enjoyed doing this week in my Project life album, a little different with a 12x12 layout, but it was a good chance to reflect on a milestone made through the week, and also to add some interest to the album. I used the co-ordinating Photo Freedom products so the layout would tie in nicely. There is quite a lot of discussion on other blog sites regarding combining the 2 styles, and for most it works well for them, especially if you have a particular event that happened that you wish to showcase.
I must admit, it was a challenge getting my head around this concept, but I'm pleased with the outcome, give it a try yourself...
My Mind's Eye have released four stunning new ranges and they will be in stock in late July. Place your order and make full payment by 26 July and receive 5% discount. Enter code mme5.
If you are part of the SP RETREAT group on Facebook you will have seen that we had issues getting products for my September retreat class. Which is a shame of course, because now you will have to use BRAND SPANKING NEW CHA product instead!
While I wait for the product to come to my house, I thought I'd show you what the LO's were that we would have done at the retreat, and - because I love a challenge - I will make a little competition out of it!
The competition is open for all, retreat goer or not. 1st prize worth $20 will be supplied by Adrienne, and 2nd prize worth $20 will be supplied by me!
The way I have set up this challenge is a little different,
you can end up with FIVE chances to win!
Here's how:
The line I was supposed to use was Crate Paper "The Pier". Here is a photo of Chicago's Navy pier:
Create a project inspired by this photo for ONE chance to win!
I created three LO's for the SP September retreat class, and this is the sketch I used to inspire all LO's! Create a LO inspired by this sketch for ONE chance to win!
As I said previously, I created three LO's with sketch as my base. Scraplift one, two or ALL THREE LO's and you have ONE chance per LO to win!
That, my friends, gives you up to FIVE chances to win!
And here are my three LO's that you can scraplift:

I'm a 23 year old student studying Diploma in Digital Media, which is basically
advanced graphic design. I have 2 cats who are crazy and annoying at times, but
their cuddles are worth it haha. I've been scrapbooking for 7 years and I work
on this hobby when I manage to find time between homework and hanging out with
my amazing boyfriend.
And here is the gorgeous sketch....used with permission from Scrapfriends
And a stunning example by Heidi Barclay....
All entries will go in the draw for a $15 RAK from our store. And on the 1 August you have the opportunity to vote for your favourite and the layout with the most votes will also win a $15 RAK.,
