This week I am going to show you how to make your own FABRIC flowers using some soft Muslin Fabric which is easy to work with and fray with.

1. Firstly you will need a small piece of Muslin Fabric (approx 10 cm x 5cm) and iron it flat;
2. Fold it in half and iron flat again, then cut the two sections

3. Next sew the two pieces of fabric together along the top.

4. Tie the ends of the cotton on the one end, and then pulling the other two cotton pieces on the other side, scrunch it up to look like this.

5. Once you have pulled the cotton and scrunched it up as much as it will go, tie the two ends of the cotton together in a knot so both sides will now be together and will not come apart. Then start fraying the edges of the fabric, the length of the fraying is totally up to you.

6. Next I have sprayed some Glimmermist Chalkboard - Peacock onto the flower, to give it a two tone effect, it dries pretty quickly
on the fabric. Lastly I added a Grey Jewel in the centre to finish the flower off.

So there you go, simple couple of steps, and very rewarding creating your flower, so I have it all ready for a layout where I need that something special added to the layout.

TFL and Happy Scrapping everyone.
