Basic Grey - Part 3

Hi everyone!

Another week has sped by, which means another post for me and more to share with you.
During the Stars in Their Eyes Competition, we threw a few curly challenges in, and instead of layouts the challenge was cards!  I know some people hate making them and others of you think you can't, but YOU CAN!  Just simplify the challenge - they are really just mini versions of layouts and just like layouts you can add as much or as little as you like.  The bonus is they are perfect for using up all those scraps! :)

Included in the Picadilly range, and usually with each range they bring out, BG provide a collection of four transparencies in a pack.  You could choose to include them in a layout, but I thought I'd make some cards with them, and you also don't have to keep the transparency as it comes.  With the two cards I have made with them, I have altered both of them. They are easy to attach too, with a drop of Dimensional Magic behind a part of the design - it dries clear so it won't be seen.

With this card I chopped a quarter of it off and then layered it up with a sticker from the range.  The sticker said Grateful across the middle but I wanted this sticker for a friend who has just been diagnosed with breast cancer so I stamped my own image onto cardstock and then adhered it - you'd never know :)

With this next card I chose to keep the shape but trimmed it to a small size and added clear stickles to the flowers, for a bit of zing. Its then been layered - 6 layers in total!, built up with adhesive foam.

With the inside I altered another sticker - the striped base said You & ME which is perfect for a layout, but I wanted this card for a friend, so I added a paper ribbon and adhered my quote over the top.

Well, thats it!, we've come to the end of a month of Basic Grey and Picadilly - I hope Ive managed to inspire you to get creative with an old favourite :) and also inspired you to have a go at altering some of those elements that come with each pack, after all nothing is ever what it seems when it comes to scrapping :)

Thanks for looking!
Megan
