HI Ladies,
Well i was a very happy lady when i received my inspiration kit this month- some beautiful Glitz design papers and embellishments!! And in green!! Perfect for me as i undergo a green period at the moment and right in my kind of style! So thank you Heidi and Adrienne for your wonderful choices for me!!
I took some photos of my eldest daughter Zoe the other week as she was so excited to have her first grown up girls dress!! No more pink and girly she wanted something prettier and not so babyish - she is all of 7 going on 17!! Anyway i wanted to do a layout for her that was more mature and not so babyish too so these Glitz papers were perfect- glamorous and feminine without being over the top. And Zoe was stoked with the end result as her favourite colour is also green!
I loved the colour of the Prima bloom and actually used one of Zoe's bracelets as the beads matched the colour of the flower absolutely perfectly!! So don't be afraid to use non traditional items on your layout- i have used hairties and cut out butterflies and flowers from Hollie's baby clothes and used on my layouts too!
The peek a boo transparencies that come with this range are gorgeous and so easy to use- you get quite a few in the pack so they really are value for money!
I love my new Martha Stewart round the page punch- it just gives that little bit more of a wow factor on your page! If you haven't used one before- give it a try. I have also discovered that you can use the corner punch part to punch a beautiful border around a circle- to make a scallop or trim - check out this weeks colour challenge to see the result!
